Sculpture proposal for a competition organised by the city of Salacgriva, Latvia. Depicting local celebrity nicknamed "Bubis", dressed as a fisherman, has sat down on a bench to rest on his way from a local pub to the river. The proposal received 2nd place prize in the competition.

The Process

My work explores the socio-political structures embedded in everyday life. I transform ordinary yet deeply personal moments into figurative sculptures, choosing materials and techniques that best serve each narrative. My sculptural language draws on hyperrealism, naïve art, and, more recently, early modernism.
